Silence at Ulysses

USS Ithaca has been redirected from its current survey operations and ordered to the Ulysses Sector, a border-watch area near the western edge of the March's current area of operations, to investigate the loss of contact with Federation Listening Post Ulysses.

Ulysses Station has been out of contact for approximately two weeks. Previous long-range attempts to re-establish contact have failed. No formal distress call was received. No debris field has been detected by remote scan. The station's last confirmed transmission was routine. For an active border-watch post, a silence of this length is treated as urgent.
