| Personal History | Early Years - 2360 - 2378 Lars was born on June 27, 2260, in Oslo, Norway, Earth. He was the first-born son, his brother, Gregory, was born 2 years later. He and his brother were best friends growing up. They did everything together - skiing, hiking and all manner of sports. Lars and Gregory teamed up in ice hockey, cross country skiing and biathlon. Usually, they would come in 1st and 2nd in most of the events. Life in Oslo was ideal, peaceful and calm. Schools in Oslo were one of the best learning opportunities in the world. The instructors were great and the class work stimulating. Until.... Dominion War - 2373 - 2375 When news of the war reached Earth, people started becoming nervous, afraid of a Dominion invasion. For most of the war, the fighting seemed to be limited to the space around Deep Space 9, the worm hole and Cardassia. All the adults were being trained to use weapons, in the off chance that Earth was attacked. The only attack came in the last year of the war when the Breen launched an attack on Starfleet Headquarters. Life for the children still revolved around school, and sports. The battle for Cardassia in 2375 ended the war. The Academy Years - 2378 - 2382 Cadet Swenson entered the Academy in June of 2378. He had chosen Security and Tactical as his majors. Lide in the academy was easy going, if you don't include the instructors. The replicators worked, the beds were soft and the quads were lush and green. Almost felt like home. He made friends with the other cadets. He kept his grades up and studied hard. He wanted to avoid any "romantic" relationships, but a couple snuck in. They didn't last very long. In the third semester, the Borg attacked. Dozens of worlds were assimilated. There was talk that all 3rd and 4th year cadets might be commissioned and sent to ships, but the Borg were defeated and the crisis was averted. |

| Service Record | 2382 - Deep Space 9 - Ensign. Ensign Swenson reported to Deep Space 9 and was attached to the Security and Tactical departments. Captain Ro Laren, commander of DS9, greeted him and informed him of his duties. He would rotate to Ops and take the Security/Tactical station. Ensign Swenson was also told that he would maintain security on the station, including the Promenade. And that he would coordinate with Bajoran security when needed. Part of his duties was to patrol the Promenade after all the shops had closed, to prevent loss of property. In the three years that Swenson was attached to DS9, the only thing he did was to tell individuals sleeping off the liquor from Quarks that they couldn't sleep on the benches on the Promenade. Ensign Swenson also assisted the Bajoran officers in the cargo bays, doing inspections of incoming freight. Occasionally there would be a 'mistake' on the manifests showing containers that weren't listed. Again, it was explained away. Captain Ro Laren had Swenson on the Defiant at tactical, when they did a relief run to Cardassia. The long-range sensors reported unidentified ships at long range, but none of them tried to intercept the ship. When the captain beamed down to the planet, Swenson was among the detail. In 2384, Ensign Swenson, promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. 2385 - Transferred to USS Ithaca as Chief Security and Tactical Officer. Lieutenant JG Swenson reported to USS Ithaca |
