OPENING ERA DECEMBER 2385

USS Ithaca is set in the Star Trek Litverse, also known as the novel continuity, novelverse, or Pocketverse. This is the shared timeline established by the Pocket Books relaunch novels published between 2002 and 2020 by Simon & Schuster.

The campaign follows that continuity through late 2385. After the inauguration of President Kellessar zh'Tarash in November 2385, the sim begins to diverge. From that point forward, later Litverse events may happen, may happen differently, may be referenced, or may be ignored. The timeline becomes the campaign's own.

Not Used The Hobus supernova. The destruction of Romulus in 2387. The Kelvin Timeline. Star Trek: Picard continuity. Star Trek Online continuity. Later modern canon, unless deliberately adopted for USS Ithaca.

Current Timeline Facts

Romulus and Vulcan	Both still exist in the USS Ithaca timeline.
The Borg	The Borg threat ended in 2381 through The Borg Invasion of 2381 and the Caeliar resolution. The Collective is gone as a local galactic power.
The Federation	The Federation is wounded, rebuilding, and turning outward again under President Kellessar zh'Tarash.
The Typhon Pact	The Pact exists and remains the main rival bloc to the Federation and Khitomer Accords powers.
The Campaign Era	The sim begins in December 2385, after the events of the Fall and after Andor's return to the Federation.

Player Guidance

You do not need to have read the novels to play. LCARS entries are intended to give enough context for the setting to make sense. The important part is the starting condition: the Federation has survived a terrible decade and is trying to become more like itself again.

Where USS Ithaca material differs from external Star Trek references, the sim's material takes priority for this campaign. Public LCARS entries, current site pages, and staff rulings represent the active version of the setting.
