| Personal History | During the occupation, the Luka became one of the few families to survive. Born deaf in the occupation in 2361, Brya joined the academy at 2379 and graduated after four years, becoming the first pilot with a congenital deafness. He wears a hearing assisted device implanted that helps him hear. His speech came later when a Starfleet institution picked him up and helped him adapt. Joining the USS Ithaca, he became her flight control officer. | |
